Even though this is a Valentine’s treat, it’s not all plain sailing for Ryker and Jacob.
It’s both an exercise in frustration when you can see where one plotline is going to go, and also a demonstration of the great love and respect they each have for the other.
Both young men deal with serious issues here, as well as the more mundane aspects of living and loving together.
Wedding plans are tension filled and each of them suffers from short tempers until a specific moment when everything boils down to the love they hold tight between them.
I’m not going to be spoiler-ing what happens, only to say the narrative fully explores all avenues in what felt like a realistic way to me.
Of course, as it’s these two authors, the outcome brings resolution and the happiest of endings.
