The quartet has been drawn together through a series of struggles, tragic events, and triumphs. They have learned to lean and depend on each other through the years for their survival.

But will their friendship survive the painful events that are set to unfold?

A Quick Catch Up With Rowe & Andrei

Chatting with Rowe & Andrei from Unbreakable Bonds

by Jocelynn Drake

Hello, everyone! Thanks so much for letting me stop by and share my love of the Unbreakable Bonds series.

The first book, Shiver, was released more than five years ago, and we’ve recently decided to recover the series to reflect the changing times and tastes of readers.

Over eight novels, four short story collections, and lots of random tales, Rinda Elliott and I have taken readers on a journey of explosions, danger, angst, and love with Lucas, Snow, Rowe, and Ian.

Today, I thought we’d have some characters answer a couple of reader questions.

Rowe is the owner of Ward Security and former military with an expertise in chaos. Noah is his lover and also former military.

For Rowe – Which is better C4 or Duct Tape?

Rowe: (claps his hands together and rubs them) Is this like a tasting? Do I get to test out some samples before making a decision?

Noah: (chuckling) Is there any duct tape or C4 that you haven’t tested out?

Rowe: Probably not, but you can’t blame a guy for trying.

Noah: I guess not. Though, I think there’s some scented duct tape we haven’t gotten our hands on yet.

Rowe: That sucks. But back to the question, I like both. Each has its uses. Blowing up a building? C4.

Noah: Restraining a bad guy? Duct tape.

Rowe: Restraining a friend? Duct tape.

Noah: Distracting a bad guy? C4.

Rowe: Distracting your neighbor when you’re trying to steal his ugly political signs from his front yard? C4.

Noah: Fixing a hole? Duct tape.

Rowe: Really? I would have said lube.

Noah: (snickering) Can’t take you anywhere.

Andrei is the COO of Ward Security, former bodyguard, and former MMA fighter. Lucas is his husband and former client.

For Andrei – How much wrangling do you have to do at work?

Andrei: (chuckling to himself) Well, every job has its good days and bad days.

Rowe: You’re not off to a good start.

Lucas: I’m sure you have nothing to do with there being bad days.

Rowe: Hey! I’m an excellent boss.

Lucas: And an excellent source of chaos and destruction.

Andrei: So, as you might have guessed, part of my job is a mediator between the swirling bouts of insanity. I’ve taken over a lot of the day-to-day operations from Rowe, such as hiring, organizing training, and managing a lot of the overall scheduling with Noah. Rowe is supposed to be focused on big-picture planning like navigating the overall direction of the company.

Rowe: Even though Andrei is the one with all the expansion ideas. I say he gets that from his husband, who has this need to take over the world.

Lucas: Whatever.

Rowe: You’re just short a white cat and an eyepatch, Dr. Evil.

Andrei: He is right, baby. You do want to take over the world. (Leaning in, he brushes a kiss along Lucas’s jaw.) But, generally, it’s not much different from most jobs, except the guns, fighting, explosives—

Rowe: And occasional slightly teeny tiny illegal stuff, but all in the name of protecting good people and stopping bad people.

Andrei: That’s why I’ve got the lawyers on speed dial.

Cara Dee always leaves me “breathless” with her skill

Breathless ebookBreathless by Cara Dee

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’ve said it before, and will no doubt say it loads more times, but Cara Dee writes utterly superb kink.

Here she’s pushing all the boundaries in a Sado/masochistic triad which really holds no punches (pun absolutely intended) back in describing just how deep into the kink some people need to go to feel free.

Shay is a beautifully complex character, he’s bound tight in grief and survivor’s guilt, and while there’re echoes of similarly with Cole, Lucas and Kit, this triad is next level sadistic.

River and Reese absolutely fascinated me, I wanted to know everything about them, how they’d known they were sadists, why River’s kink was mental while Reese’s mixed Daddy care with brutality.

Together they were powerfully erotic, but also emotionally healing for Shay.

This book demonstrates beyond just the words how some people need BDSM to free themselves from the trials of life, anxieties, worries and misplaced emotions which can be damaging if left to fester.

I loved reading these three totally changing their lives to accommodate new feelings and new desires.

This series is shaping up to be an absolute classic.

Is this a love worth fighting for?

One man is haunted by a past he can’t outrun.

One man is branded by a legacy he can’t hide.

One man is burdened by a guilt he can’t deny.

The usually peaceful town of Riverside Falls has had its very core shaken by traumatic events. Three men find themselves at the center of it all, thrown together by circumstances beyond their control.

Sawyer Levy came to Riverside Falls four years ago to escape from…well…life, but when he finds himself in need of care, he’s forced to trust not one but two men for the first time in years.

Grant Belford is riddled with shame in the tragic aftermath of incidents he didn’t see coming, blaming himself for the terror that rocked his town over the last few months.

Captain Mason Lockley is struggling with the recent events that have shaken up the quiet town of Riverside Falls, tormented by one thought, over and over again: Did he miss the signs because of jealousy?

Having no choice but to lean on each other, the three men suffering with their own demons aren’t expecting to have such an undeniable connection—or to fall so hard. It’s a love they don’t understand, but will they realize it’s worth fighting for?

Excerpt

Sawyer watched Grant’s hasty exit in complete bewilderment. He didn’t think it was just his imagination that Grant had been acting weird, but it didn’t help that his energy was fading quickly, and his mind was getting foggy. Mason approached the bed slowly, his attention moving from the door Grant had just fled through to Sawyer.

The look on the man’s face was an odd mix of frustration and longing. “What the hell was that all about?” Sawyer asked.

Mason huffed and slumped down in the chair next to the bed. Dark circles marred the skin under his blue, fatigued eyes. It had been a while since Sawyer had studied the features of a man, yet he found himself memorizing the golden hints in Mason’s perfectly styled, dark blond hair. In usual form, there wasn’t a strand out of place. A few days’ growth covered the bottom half of his face, surrounding a plump mouth that Sawyer had purposely ignored in the past. His sudden fascination with it burst like a bubble in mid-air when that mouth said, “He’s been here…every day…in this chair. Did you know that?”

Grant had? “Seriously?”

“He’s barely left your side since the day you were brought in. Hell, he told the staff you were family so they would tell us what condition you were in.” Mason sat with his arms crossed and a hard tick to his jaw. Why did Sawyer feel like the cop was interrogating him?

“I don’t get it; he hates me.” Lord knows, Sawyer had tried to hate Grant back, but there was something about the broody man that got under his skin. Something he didn’t want to acknowledge let alone feel at all. He’d ignored Grant for the past four years as much as he’d ignored his reaction to the man sitting in front of him.

Mason shifted his eyes toward the doorway Grant had just fled through. “Wish I could say I understood any of the decisions that man makes.” He set pensive eyes back on Sawyer, and for a split second, Sawyer felt like all the air had been sucked out of the room. “Would’ve made the last ten years a lot fucking easier.”

About The Author

FB_IMG_1589735735697

I have been an artist from a very young age. From drawing cartoon characters and evolving into portraits, making jewelry, photography, and now writing. I have an amazing support system in my family and friends and couldn’t be more grateful.

I live in central New Jersey, love summers at the Jersey Shore, rock music, wine, sexy men, and laughing a lot with my amazing friends and family. Sunday dinners at my parents’ house are crazy, hysterical and you can count on a movie quote…or ten…being thrown out. Insults between siblings is how we show our love for each other!

When I’m not creating, you can find me reading books from my favorite authors. I’m a hopeless romantic, starving for passionate characters and always craving that happy ending, whether in reading or in writing my own books.
