An ancient rival? A gay unicorn? A crusty old witch who should be in diapers? The dumbest progeny anyone could ever have? Shifters who come in herds? Kill me, right effing now!

Vincent and Sheriff Romeo are my chance to find peace at last. I’ve been waiting for someone to notice I’m gone for a long time. Until the vampire showed up, I wasn’t sure anyone could help. All I want to do is move on to the next step… and I really need to rest.

Vincent and Romeo, you’re my only hope.

Strange things are happening in Prosper Woods, California. Ever since moving here, my life has turned upside down. Some things have been amazing, like falling head over heels for Vincent Lasco, a gorgeous vampire. Other things have been weirder than I could ever imagine. I’ve learned a truth about myself, and it came as a massive shock. Most of the town residents have quirks of their own. Let’s just say, nothing is boring about this bizarre place.

Supernaturals flourish here!

Sheriff Romeo Harmon makes me happier than I’ve ever been. He’s kind, funny, and honest to the core, just the kind of man I used to be, centuries ago. I have a new lease on my long life. Things could go on just the way they are but there’s something I’ve been asked do before that happens. I need to help Romeo find a sweet little boy and finally lay him to rest.

Who knew ghosts could have broken hearts?

“Are you going to call Precious and have her talk to Mary about the séance?” Vincent’s rumbling voice was a bit of a surprise in the dark room. I was at that stage in between consciousness when my body was trying to decide whether falling asleep or staying awake to try to converse with the man in my arms, was the better idea.

“I’ll talk to her at work tomorrow. It’s late and there’s no reason to wake either of them up unless you’re afraid Blue will be back tonight.”

Vincent’s low chuckle made me smile against his chest as his arms tightened around me. “He hasn’t been in touch for nearly two months. I don’t think it’s a five-alarm fire at this point. That doesn’t mean I don’t want to resolve this as quickly as we can.”

I heard his voice take on a sobering note.

“I think it’s important that we lay him to rest, don’t you?” Vincent asked.

“Of course, I do,” I replied, sleepily. “As soon as I get to work tomorrow, I’ll talk to Precious, and we’ll arrange a time in the next couple of days. I’ll talk to Sid too.”

“Okay, Romeo. Now, you should rest. I’m sure there will be another joyriding incident for you to investigate in the morning and you will need all your strength for the coming storm.”

I laughed and squeezed his waist, digging my fingers in. He let out a high-pitched giggle and twisted away from me. The girly sound coming out of the seven-hundred-year-old medieval knight, made me laugh even harder. I sat up and straddled him, reaching down to tickle him with both hands. He laughed and tried to squirm away from me, dropping his fangs as his lips stretched widely over his teeth. I’d never seen a vampire so ticklish before. Who was I kidding? Vincent was the only vampire I’d ever known but that didn’t matter. Seeing him laugh like that was hilarious and it just made me want to do it over and over again.

“Stop it! Stop it!” he cried. Then, he was out from under me, off the bed, and across the room, still laughing, in the blink of an eye. I sat back on my ass and held out my arms.

“I’ll stop. Come back to bed.”

“No more tickles,” he said, walking slowly over to me.

I chuckled and then sobered as my gaze slid down his beautiful body. The massive scar from his collar bone to his belly button was the most obvious of all. I wiggled my fingers and patted my belly.

“Cuddle with me. I promise no more unexpected tickling will occur tonight.”

He smiled and dropped down on the bed, cuddling up to my side and throwing a thigh over mine. I wrapped him in my arms and within minutes, my breathing had evened out and I drifted off to sleep.

My name is Romeo Harmon and I’m the new sheriff of Prosper Woods, a small California town smack dab in the middle of the sequoia forest. People around here tell me the town hasn’t changed a whole hell of a lot since power lines and telephones were installed.

I think I’m gonna like it here.

My name is Vincent Lasco. I’ve searched a long time to find a new place to settle down. Because of what I am, I need to pull up stakes and start over every twenty years or so—before people realize that I don’t age anymore.

I think I’m gonna like it here.

There’s newcomers in town. Prosper Woods is a nice place as long as you’re passing through. I wonder how long these folks will stay once they find out what’s really going on here. Somehow…

I don’t think they’re gonna like it here.

When I moved to Prosper Woods, California a couple of weeks ago, I’d had big plans for a quiet life. I hadn’t planned on investigating a murder the day after my arrival and no one told me supernatural creatures existed. When Vincent Lasco suddenly smiled at me with a mouth full of fangs, things got interesting.

The moment I decided to take Sheriff Romeo Harmon home for a roll in the sheets, I knew hiding my true nature was a huge mistake. Then again, things never turn out the way I expect. Not only that, the guy isn’t even aware that he has secrets of his own.

The town of Prosper Woods has a couple of new residents who at first glance, seem very unsuited for small town life. Before long, though, I realized they were right for the town… probably the only right thing about this weird place. Surprisingly, they fit right in.

When I moved to Prosper Woods, California a couple of weeks ago, I’d had big plans for a quiet life. Let’s just say, things haven’t exactly turned out the way I expected they would. For one thing, as new sheriff, I hadn’t planned on investigating a murder the day after my arrival. For another thing, no one told me supernatural creatures existed. I didn’t believe it at first, but when Vincent Lasco suddenly smiled at me with a mouth full of fangs, things got interesting.

Quiet small town life indeed!

The moment I decided to take Sheriff Romeo Harmon home for a roll in the sheets, I knew hiding my true nature was a huge mistake. Then again, things never turn out the way I expect. The simple life of anonymity I’d hoped to have in Prosper Woods has blown up in my face in the most poetic and spectacular way. Not only that, the guy isn’t even aware that he has secrets of his own. How a guy could have lived all his life not knowing what he was, seems nearly impossible, but in his case, I know it’s true.

Supernaturals are everywhere!

The town of Prosper Woods has a couple of new residents who at first glance, seem very unsuited for small town life. Before long, though, I realized they were right for the town… probably the only right thing about this weird place. Surprisingly, they fit right in.

Excerpt

The door swung open, and my mate stepped inside wearing a black leather jacket that fit perfectly across his wide chest and shoulders. His blue jeans hugged his body like a second skin, and the black boots he wore made him look so sexy I found myself growing hard just from staring at him.

He was taller than me, though, not by much, possibly an inch or two. In human form, he had thick black hair and the darkest brown eyes I’d ever seen. As a unicorn, he was much more colorful—pure white with a rainbow mane and tail. His spiral unicorn horn of the same colors sparkled under the moonlight. In either form, Romeo Harmon was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen. I was absolutely smitten with my mate. The moment he shut the front door and lifted his face to take a whiff of the food I’d cooked for him, his gorgeous face split with a massive grin.

“You cooked for me?”

I walked toward him and held out my arms, sliding them around his back, and clasping him tightly as he met me halfway across the living room.

“I made lasagna. I hope you’re hungry,” I whispered, my mouth hovering a half inch from his lips. I could smell a combination of mint gum and coffee, but it was the stench of werewolf and death that made me lean back in his arms and study his face. I frowned. “Where were you?”

Romeo sighed and dropped his hands from my ass. It was the place his hands went naturally whenever we hugged like this. He began shrugging out of his jacket and when he dropped it over the back of my couch and squatted to begin untying his boots, he glanced up at me.

“You smell it on me, huh? The crime scene?”

My eyes widened, and I squatted in front of him, reaching for his shoulders first and then his cheeks. “What crime scene, Romeo? Tell me what happened.”

“What do your senses pick up?”

He tested me like this a lot. At first it had been because he had a fascination with the supernatural. But later on, I’d realized he was still honing his own senses and trying to work out if there were any shortcuts to figuring out his life as a paranormal creature. His unicorn ancestry had been buried for centuries, and he was still getting accustomed to being a shifter even though he was probably the most powerful supernatural being in the world.

“I smell death, though, not recent, and there is a hint of werewolf on your clothes. It’s not recent either.” I wrinkled my nose. “Doesn’t mean I don’t have the overwhelming urge to burn everything you’re wearing right now.”

People around here tell me the town hasn’t changed a whole hell of a lot since power lines and telephones were installed. It’s a quaint place with a movie theater that shows the old classics, a saloon with a decent choice of beer, a general store with a grumpy old coot behind the till, a gas station with a pimply young mechanic, and a bed and breakfast that attracts tourists and vacation money.

I think I’m gonna like it here.

This time, the hunters become the hunted when the witch knows they’re coming to get him, and has deadly plans of his own. When their lives are on the line, will love be enough?

One hundred years ago, a sheriff’s posse killed dark warlock Rhyfel Gremory, but his witch-disciples escaped, and their magic made them nearly immortal. To keep their power, each year one of the witch-disciples kills a descendant of one of the men in the posse, a twelve-year cycle that has cost dozens of lives, including that of Seth Tanner’s brother, Jesse

Seth rescued Evan Malone from one of the witches, and they’ve fallen in love despite the danger and chaos, going on the road to complete the quest and bring an end to the ritual murders. Their relationship is new, their emotions are raw, and the danger is real. It’s a challenge to find their way as a couple while they’re on the road together in the close quarters of Seth’s RV, training in magic and combat skills to fight off a supernatural killer.

In pursuit of the next witch-disciple, Seth and Evan team up with older hunters Milo and Toby as their quest to stop a century-long killing spree takes them to a small town in the Blue Ridge Mountains. They’re ahead of the sacrifice cycle, with plans to stop the murders and kill the dark witch. Only this time, the hunters become the hunted when the witch knows they’re coming to get him, and has deadly plans of his own. When their lives are on the line, will love be enough?

Flame and Ash is the third novel in the Witchbane series. It is a MM romance intended for readers 18 years of age and older.

Excerpt

“I’m excited about getting to spend time with them,” Evan said. His expression sobered. “I hope they like me.”

Seth gave his hand a squeeze. “You’re hardly a stranger. You’ve spoken with them on the phone and on video calls. Trust me, they will love you. They know I’ll be more careful, now that you’re in the picture.” Careful for Evan and for himself. Hunting didn’t usually make for a long life, but Toby and Milo proved that a happy ending was possible. Now that Seth had found Evan, he wanted that same future desperately, enough to make him both fearless and more cautious.

“I know. But it’s like meeting the family,” Evan replied, dropping his voice.

“My mom and dad would have loved you,” Seth said. “They were very chill about everything except when I went into the army. They were worried about me, and they had reason to be.” He smiled, remembering. “Mom taught me to catch a football—she had five brothers—and how to ride a motorcycle. Dad helped me with my homework and taught me how to cook.”

“Most of the things we did as a family centered around the church,” Evan said quietly. He rarely spoke of his family. “Picnics and retreats and music festivals, that kind of thing. But one year, we did a road trip to Mount Rushmore. Mom had always wanted to see it. I guess she figured it wasn’t frivolous because it was about history. It was nice. That was the year before they found out about me, and after that…” Evan turned and looked out the window. Seth kept a grip on Evan’s hand, trying to curb his anger. He doubted he would ever meet the Malones, but if he did, Seth intended to give them a piece of his mind.

“I was going to come out to my parents when Jesse died, and everything went off the rails,” Seth said. “Jesse had already figured it out. Hell, I think he knew before I did.”

He struggled not to let self-recrimination color his tone, but that internal battle waxed and waned on a daily basis. After all, Seth had gone along with Jesse’s idea to do a bit of amateur ghost hunting at a haunted bridge that rumor claimed was a hell gate. It was supposed to be a fun night spent drinking beers and making a hoax video to prank some of Jesse’s friends.

Then one of the immortal disciples of a long-dead dark warlock grabbed Jesse as the next victim in a century-old cycle of ritual slaughter, wounding Seth in the process. By the time Seth regained consciousness, it was too late. His wild story placed him under suspicion and briefly in a psych ward, until Seth learned to tell the doctors what they wanted to hear. By that time, his parents were dead, and his home had been destroyed in a fire. All he had left was the RV, the truck, his motorcycle, memories, and vengeance.

Until Evan.

“I wish I could have met them,” Evan replied wistfully. “And I wish I could say the same about my folks, but…you know…”

“Yeah. Fuck them.”

Evan nodded. “Right. Because we’ve got our own weird little hunter family now, and I like it that way.”
