Jay’s Housemates collection brings together six cracking good tales of college age sexual exploration
The Housemates Collection: An MM College Romance Series | Jay Northcote
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
When it comes to sexual exploration and awakening, then the Housemates series from Jay Northcote has to be among the best.
This box set brings six incredible tales together with their uniquely British feel and the emotional highs and lows of college age sexual exploration.
Covering most of my favourite tropes, Jay’s Housemates follow the paths of best friends to lovers, age gaps and wealth discrepancies, and awkward fumbling first times, as well as examining more serious issues such as what it’s like to be a young trans man finding their feet in a sexual relationship.
If you’ve never picked up any from this series, now’s the chance because these are among Jay’s best books in my opinion.
They’re invariably beautifully diverse, full of independence and discovery, about finding self-confidence in who you are and walking a unique path through college and into adult life.
Oh and they’re steaming hot, powerfully emotive and contain side orders of light kink and dirty talk which just add enough of a sexual frisson to get the pulse racing without ever going too far.
Packed with humour and British snark, the Housemates series offers readers a peak into life as a 20-something in a big city.
