My favourite trip yet to Aster Valley!

ThickasThieves-fThick as Thieves by Lucy Lennox

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loved!

This book brought all the feels! It’s definitely my favourite in the Aster Valley series so far and one of my most favourite books from Lucy full stop.

There’s something just really beautiful about a friendship which turns to the kind of unshakeable forever love that I am sure many people dream about and here we get that with Jules and Parker.

I won’t go into the hows of the narrative, only to say that everything unfolded in a way which felt organic and authentic to me as I was reading it.

We’ve met both men before in the previous books but only in passing and we had a greater glimpse into Julian than Parker but I have to say, I fell for both men big time.

Jules has become the master of hiding his true feelings for Parker, while he’s a jovial giant who not only thinks the best of everyone but wants to always be there for everyone. Which is how he’s ended up almost getting married to a woman he loves, but isn’t in love with.

I also very much appreciated that there’s no bad villainous behaviour on the part of Erin either. She’s not an evil woman, a horrible ex, she’s just a confused and perhaps tad selfish young woman who doesn’t really know what she wants from life.

With guest appearances from all the rest of the Aster Valley usual suspects, this really is a joyous reading experience and one that I couldn’t put down.

It’s as steaming hot as a Lucy read usually is too, perhaps more so as Parker is very much all in for exploring his growing sexual feelings for Julian 💗

Loved it! And don’t forget to grab the free 12k novella which is linked at the end because you get another ridiculously sweet romance from a couple of the characters you meet here!

Blurb

In need of work and a change of scenery, Aussie ex-pat Jayden Turner agrees to a short-term chef position at a Bed and Breakfast over the Christmas holidays. After all, how hard could it be in a small town in the mountains of Montana? What he finds is a grand old house in a beautiful town, and his new boss is gorgeous, gay, and single.

After his divorce, Carter “Cass” Campion bought his great-aunt’s rundown country manor in his home town, and he’s determined to get it ready for the busy holiday period. Recently out as gay, he’s been focused solely on his business and hasn’t had time for a man. Not that many gay men come through Hartbridge . . .

As his new clients arrive, and being away from his two kids, celebrating Christmas is the last thing on Cass’s mind, but his new chef has other ideas. And if there’s one thing on his Christmas Wish List this year, Jayden can make it come true.

About The Author

NR Walker Logo

N.R. Walker is an Australian author, who loves her genre of gay romance. She loves writing and spends far too much time doing it, but wouldn’t have it any other way.

She is many things: a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer. She has pretty, pretty boys who live in her head, who don’t let her sleep at night unless she gives them life with words.

She likes it when they do dirty, dirty things… but likes it even more when they fall in love.

She used to think having people in her head talking to her was weird, until one day she happened across other writers who told her it was normal.

She’s been writing ever since…

Nic delivers another delightful festive romance

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Perfect festive pick me up which works beautifully even though it’s pretty insta-love.

Set in the same picture perfect small town as Tic-Tac-Mistletoe, this one has another Aussie finding himself falling in love not only with the picture perfect setting, but also one of its residents.

I absolutely adored both Cass and Jayden and the way they just seamlessly slipped into a partnership running the B&B.

Throw in slow burn, a small age gap, cute kids, a great ex-wife, and surroundings you can picture clearly and it’s a definite yes from me.

Loved it.
