North’s Christmas is ruined when a d*ck pic intended for his hook-up goes viral. Can his ex-bodyguard convince him he has nothing to be ashamed about?

Located on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille in beautiful Northern Idaho, Camp Bay Chalet is a discrete and cozy B&B, popular with both locals and minor celebrities for its fabulous holiday weekends.

The pic seen around the world….

The son of Hollywood royalty, North Astor-Ford has lived his entire life in the public’s eye. He knows better than anyone that someone is always watching.

So when one not-so-innocent picture accidentally ends up crossposted across all his social media, North is left humiliated and scared. With no one to turn to he flees to Camp Bay Chalet to be close to the man he used to count on to protect him from the world.

Liam’s life has been in a holding pattern since the moment North fired him three years ago, even if it was for the best. A romance between a bodyguard and his client would’ve caused exactly the sort of scandal Liam was hired to prevent.

Now that North is back in his orbit, Liam’s going to do what he does best, protect North from the world. And maybe, just maybe, the charm of a Camp Bay Chalet Christmas will be enough to heal North and bring about the romance they’ve both always wanted.

North’s Pole takes place in the Camp Bay shared universe, but can be read as a stand-alone. Look for more of the Camp Bay universe in Stolen Christmas by Marie Sexton. ( https://readerlinks.com/l/2891879 )

December 21

It wasn’t like I’d wanted to show the entire fucking world my “engorged cock,” as the angry mob on Twitter kept calling it. I hadn’t meant for anyone to see it except for HungryTop34, and I’d only shown him because we’d sexted a few times before, and this time he’d begged to see “the whole package.”

Maybe it wasn’t smart of me (you think?), but I’d sent a picture of my “package.” A great shot of it, too. It took twenty minutes just to get the right angle. For his eyes only!

Or so I’d thought.

Because somehow? What I actually did? Was share the photo to my Instagram story, which automatically cross-posted to my Twitter, Facebook, and Snapchat. How had I made such an idiotic mistake? Had I really been that horny and excited I’d gotten confused between the chat on my hookup app and my Insta story?

All signs pointed to yes.

There I was, leaning back in bed, hand around my dick, waiting to hear what HungryTop34 thought of my “package,” when my phone began pinging wildly with messages from every social media app I had and with incoming texts from everyone I knew.

Blinking at comments like, “Ew, bro wtf,” I sat in stunned confusion until someone commented, “That’s your dick?!?”

That was when I’d felt it. Just the way everyone described.

My blood turned cold, and my stomach dropped with a horrifying swoop. Vomit surged up my throat, and I feared I was about to heave all over my bed. Luckily, I made it to the bathroom first.

Once I stopped puking and got my brain together enough to figure out I should do something about my massive, enormous, horrible error, my hands were shaking so badly I couldn’t get the pictures deleted fast enough. I tried. I really did try.

But it was far too late.

Afterward, my mind went blank, like someone had painted it over with that bumpy ceiling spackle they have in old buildings, or maybe it was more like a snowstorm. Just raging, howling, whiteness. Along with an urgent need to escape—to hide.

Flashing lights broke Liam out of his gloomy thoughts. The tow truck headed toward him, then did a U-turn and pulled in front of Liam’s car, backing up until it was close enough to hook up the Honda.

The truck driver got out and walked toward Liam, who reluctantly got out of the car. Even though he had called for assistance and it was clear the stranger was a legitimate responder, Liam couldn’t help feeling jittery, with his hands sweating, and heart thumping.

Those reactions doubled when he got a good look at the driver.

Oh, just shoot me now. Fuck my life. Why did he have to be so fine?

In the glare of the truck’s spotlights, Liam made out all the important details. The man had broad shoulders, strong arms, powerful legs, and a solid chest, standing a good five inches or more over Liam’s five-foot-seven frame. Liam had thought he might be saved if the driver was ugly as sin, but he was out of luck. His face was as utterly lickable as the rest of him.

“You called for a tow? Mr. Reynard?”

Liam nodded.

“I’m Russell Lowe—everyone calls me Russ. I own Lowe’s Auto Shop in Fox Hollow, and tonight I’m your personal tow truck driver,” he said with a broad smile and dimples. The man’s sharp cheekbones, full lips, and strong chin were highlighted by dark brown scruff. Liam’s gaze traveled upward, surprised at gray hair flecked with brown framing a face that couldn’t be older than thirty-five. Green eyes made Liam wonder what kind of shifter Russ might be.

He swallowed hard and might have blushed when he realized Russ seemed to be checking him out too. No matter how attractive his roadside savior might be, Liam’d had enough man trouble to last an eternity, and he sure didn’t need more in a new town.

“Yes, I’m Liam Reynard. Just Liam,” he said, wishing he could conjure up the natural charm that had always served him well in community theater performances. His fox could be quite dramatic. But now, on the run, scared for his life, and in the dark with a stranger in the middle of nowhere, he couldn’t muster his usual flair.

“The engine started making strange noises, and I pulled off. I didn’t want to break anything.” Liam cringed because heknew next to nothing about cars. Admitting that takes points off my “man score,” doesn’t it? Then again, so does being a sports-hating, gay fox shifter twink.

Well, at thirty, I’d thought my twink days were behind me. But when he compared his own shorter, lithe, dancer build to the solid man-mountain in front of him? Yeah, twink still fits.

“I’m glad you stopped the car without waiting for the car to stop you.” Russ finally shifted his attention away from Liam and focused on the Civic. “Let’s get the tow set up, and then you can ride in the cab with me to Fox Hollow.”

TL TRAVIS COVER

Blurb

Can two opposites in forced proximity learn to play nicely or will one wind up in an iron grave?

What do you get when you throw a burly blacksmith and the town’s poster child for clumsiness together?

A whole lot of swearing and a threatening use of duct tape.

And the need to construct a sign that reads, “DO NOT LET CAMPBELL NEAR THE FORGE!”

Alabaster Falls’ local blacksmith, Daughtry Blackburn, was satisfied with his reclusive status. He had iron to bend and orders to fill but he knew he needed something to take the business to the next level. His father had fought taking their business into the twenty-first century, but since he’d passed, it was up to Daughtry to keep things forward moving and he knew there was no way to do so without being on the World Wide Web. Metalworking, he got. Computers, not so much.

Campbell Jenkins was desperate to be accepted by his peers in the little town he’d called home since birth. Problem was, he was accident-prone. Not just in the sense of an occasional break here or there, but in a can’t walk by glass without it shattering – even when it seemed he was a mile away type of thing. No matter how hard he tried to fit in, this curse led to failure. Forced to stay stuck inside the walls of the home his grandmother left him, he spent his time learning all he could about computers and social media. His online friends never cast him aside—too bad the real world wasn’t as kind.

When he answers an ad in the local paper for online marketing assistance, he wasn’t sure what to expect. Least of all, the brawny man answering the door to a log cabin that had seen better days.

Daughtry

Life is iron.

Iron is life.

Nothing makes me happier.

Then why am I so danged frustrated?

I slammed the hammer down on the flaming red piece of steel I’d just pulled from the forge, and laid across the anvil, and tirelessly pounded on it. Another horseshoe, I could make the damn things in my sleep. The sound of metal striking metal echoed through the shop. I get lost in my work for hours on end, just as my pops had, just as my granddad before him had too. Blackburn Iron Works had been in the family for generations. We were born to forge. You can spot our work from Alabaster Falls, Virginia to North Dakota. Folks come from far and wide to purchase our wares. How they heard about it is all word of mouth though that’s something I’m aiming to change. Just need to find the right internet guru to get it up and running for me.

Back to my current predicament. Lately, I’ve found myself wound up tighter than a skeeter in a bug zapper. I don’t know what my deal was. Only thing that came to mind was my thirtieth birthday was nearing, not that it matters much, but the restlessness was becoming harder to ignore. I never was one to celebrate. I’ve got a lot of acquaintances but not many friends so nowhere to go, no one to go be with. I ain’t never been one for bars and I don’t date. Never done much of anything outside of mold metal into what I wanted it to be. Yeah, I need to get out more.

Shortly after I was born, my momma up and took off. Told Pops this wasn’t the life she wanted for herself, and she was tired of being trapped in this godforsaken town. I never saw Alabaster like that, not sure why she did. Folks are plenty nice ‘round here. Pops was heartbroken though, loved her more than life itself. Well, not more than he loved me, but that’s a different kind of love. He called me his pride and joy, the best thing that ever happened to him. Pops and I, we were close. That’s why when he had that heart attack that took him a couple of years back, I was pretty broken up over it, still am if truth be told.

I tossed the horseshoe into the finished pile for Mr. Parker and buried myself in the orders I had for a couple of gates for a local cattle rancher which would be easy to finish in no time. Just kept busy and pushed through whatever this was going on with me. I’ve done some ornate work here and there down at City Hall, made a new balustrade to line the entry steps. Most of the stuff I make on the side, locals call it my fancy stuff, is just collecting dust in Pops’ old office.

Folks around here in Alabaster Falls are pretty simple, and I like it that way but they don’t do ‘fancy’. Nobody gets in my business, well, outside of trying to find me a wife. I hear the rumor mill, so I know what’s going on around town and it seems everybody’s focus was on lining up willing females for me. As long as I don’t make any waves, ain’t nobody gonna send any my way or at least that’s how it’s been, and I hope it stays that way.
