My rating: 5 of 5 stars
There aren’t enough stars available to properly rate this book. It’s always a risk to step back into a beloved world which had wrapped up its initial story arc and left no loose ends.
But Jocelynn Drake and Rinda Elliott have come up with a second story for Snow and Jude which is utterly gripping, and just as fast-paced as the original Shatter, which gave us their initial romance.
This time the focus is on Jude’s youngest brother who is the start point for an all-action adventure which sees Snow and Jude’s relationship tested to the max.
Everything about this book worked for me. Everything. Snow and Jude are beyond hot together, they’re bound together by love, they’re determined to be there for each other no matter what and this narrative pushes them to the limits.
And OMG the code words – this time picked by Jude. Once again these authors know when to bring a light touch to the darkness and Rowe and Noah’s antics give me life.
There’re also guest appearances from many of our favourite Ward Security staff members just to keep the action flowing and it made my heart skip as each one arrived on the page.
Absolutely loved it. Also not who I was expecting for Book Five in the Ward Security series so really looking forward to reading that one too!
Now, if Rowe and Noah happen to be next on the list for a revisit, well that would just make my year 🙂
