I’ve run out of superlatives for Kasia Bacon’s fantasy reads

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you could see the grin I’ve got on my face right now you’d have some measure of the sheer bloody brilliance of this novella.

It’s witty, saucy, still manages to have tenderness and emotional vulnerability between Ervyn and Lochan, while at the same time, has them in the most unlikely of settings while on a secret mission.

Honestly I feel like I’ve just read something that’s at least twice as long because this is, make no bones about it, a fully fleshed out jaunt into the Order universe.

Sent off of a mission of the utmost importance, no really, Captain Terryés brought it all on his own head, our elvish duo find themselves getting stuck inside the barrel of the Elven Nation’s biggest cannon.

I’ll leave it to you to discover what happens next 😉

Kasia Bacon is a certified genius imho and this little snippet is exceptional. It’s also a (not so secretly) paean to the glories of food 🍰🍮🍲
