My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Anyone who follows my reviews knows how much I adore this Glasgow-based series based on an LGBTQ football team.
So when Avery said she’d been writing more Liam and Robert, I couldn’t wait to read it and it’s a pure delight.
Just like the city herself, this book has heart-stoppingly beautiful moments, great bursts of humour, and a deep sense of belonging.
It’s also stupendously sexy as Liam and Rob decide they need to find ways to challenge and reconnect with each other and deal with the fears of two young men, just out of university and making their first steps into adulthood.
I love everything about this series, the friendship within the Warriors, the real feeling of place that comes with the Glasgow setting, the authenticity of the writing and the lives being depicted.
So, in Liam’s own words Be Less Shite and let the Glasgow Lads bring you joy.
