Follow Liam’s excellent advice to “Be Less Shite” and read this romance

Play HardPlay Hard by Avery Cockburn

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Anyone who follows my reviews knows how much I adore this Glasgow-based series based on an LGBTQ football team.

So when Avery said she’d been writing more Liam and Robert, I couldn’t wait to read it and it’s a pure delight.

Just like the city herself, this book has heart-stoppingly beautiful moments, great bursts of humour, and a deep sense of belonging.

It’s also stupendously sexy as Liam and Rob decide they need to find ways to challenge and reconnect with each other and deal with the fears of two young men, just out of university and making their first steps into adulthood.

I love everything about this series, the friendship within the Warriors, the real feeling of place that comes with the Glasgow setting, the authenticity of the writing and the lives being depicted.

So, in Liam’s own words Be Less Shite and let the Glasgow Lads bring you joy.

AS YOU WISH (Book #1)

1 wedding, 2 best men, one hell of a love story!

Declan Ramsay was to be best man at his brother’s wedding in Scotland, sharing best man duties with the bride’s gay kid brother Sam. The best men wouldn’t meet for the first time until a few days before the wedding, so communicated by email for more than a year.

But on meeting Sam Aiken, Declan is surprised to see he isn’t a kid at all, but a striking, athletic blond man with a wicked sense of humor. Declan is alarmed by the ferocious attraction he feels for Sam. And as the attraction is reciprocated, the events at Dunloch Castle change everything Declan has ever believed about himself.
But is Sam Aiken all he appears to be?

Iain gets his story

Unnatural (Enlightenment)Unnatural by Joanna Chambers

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was fascinated by Iain when he appeared in David and Murdo’s story and here we finally get to find out more about the dashing Captain Sinclair.

The feel of this book was different, given the long friendship between the two men and there were a lot of times when the both got in their own ways but I totally understood the fears.

It’s always great to read a MM historical done well and this whole series from Joanna Chambers has been a real pleasure.
