But they have bigger problems. It turns out Erwan’s father is hiding more than a surly attitude. Much more. Like an old connection with the wolves and a betrayal that runs so deep, it could tear Erwan and Rhene apart.

Dragon’s Mate is the first book in the Irresistible Dragons series. This is a spin off from the Irresistible Omegas series, but you don’t need to have read that to enjoy these two as they find their way into love. The love story ends with an HEA but the suspense plot will continue in the next book.

Would you like the long or the short version of my bio?

The short? You got it.

I write steamy gay romance books and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.

How was that?

A little more detail? Gotcha.

I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.

My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.

Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.

Dragons and wolves – yes please Nora!

Oh I am intrigued by where this new series is going to go!

It’s a spin-off from Nora’s fabulous Irresistible Omegas and sees Rhene Hightower finding his mate – and a whole hidden castle of dragons on the edge of the Hayes pack lands.

There’s mystery and a sense of impending menace surrounding the series long plot arc but this book nicely sets up the story for Rhene and his dragon mate Erwan.

It’s also exceedingly steamy, as you’d expect with an omegaverse, although Nora’s worlds are never conventional and here there’s two conflicting cultures coming together to solve a question which centres on a long ago pack between wolves and dragons.

There’s nothing overly complicated or difficult to understand here, it’s an easy to read and enjoyable romp and I’m very much looking forward to more.

Roe does it again with this mix of spice and sweet

This Winter Sun interconnected omegaverse, centred around Dalton City and its environs, really is an absolutely delightful mix of smoking hot sex and the most wonderful romance, filled with a nurturing overly possessive alpha and a sweet little cinnamon bun omega.

I loved everything about this one, possibly slightly more than the first book in the series, Ugly which I utterly adored.

We met Richard in Ugly, he’s Burke’s best friend who went on to make a fortune and who, when we last saw him, seemed to have been stuck in a miserable relationship with a snotty and bitchy omega.

When Unexpected opens, we find out the true state of their relationship and it’s not pretty. I felt for both of them, Leo isn’t necessarily a bad person, he’s just really not right for Richard and they’ve been making each other miserable in a spiral of kinks which just damage their relationship rather than enhance it.

After Richard ends things, he heads to a small coastal town where his path crosses with the sweetly shy dog walker Carter, who is just a wonderfully uncomplicated young man almost two decades younger.

Carter’s slowly finding his way in life, going to college to become a teacher, he loves animals and has a part time job working as a dog walker, which sees him taking up looking after Richard’s pup Noodle.

And can I just put in a big 💗 here for Noodle, who is the goodest boy ever, he’s a Retriever full of boundless love and energy who very much acts as a balm to the soul for Richard.

When Carter’s second heat arrangements fall through, he finds himself sobbing on Richard’s living room floor and suddenly facing going through it alone.

There’s both an element of slow burn with this and a side order of instalove, which I know sounds utterly impossible, but we get a build up to Richard’s falling for Carter while for the omega, it’s an instant attraction to the powerful older alpha.

The sex, as you’d expect from Roe, is incandescently hot, there’s heat knotting, multiple orgasms, a bit of dirty talk and explosive breeding talk. But there’s also gentle caring, tenderness, a growing need for the other that has nothing to do with sex and everything to do with recognising your soul mate.

It’s another glorious addition to the series and Kirby’s book is up next and I am desperate to find out who’s going to try taming that little fireball of attitude!
