Ollie and Daniel are a swoony dream finale to the Four Bears

K.M. saves the best for last.

Throughout this whole series I’ve been waiting for Ollie’s story and it did not disappoint at all. I was also really happy that it was Daniel who proved to be the perfect person as he also really needed to discover that forever can happen.

Together they were on fire, the chemistry oozes between them, even when they’re supposedly only friends and the whole fake marriage trope gets a refreshing update when a drunken Vegas wedding (Ollie’s fourth!) becomes not only a solid and meaningful friendship, but a true partnership based on mutual respect and affection.

It’s ridiculously swoony and romantic as they just slowly drift into actually being married and in a proper relationship without Daniel ever realising that’s just what he’s doing.

Ollie is more aware, he knows he’s falling for his Husband as Daniel constantly refers to himself as in a somewhat joking fashion but it takes a really solid shock to the system – and a kick up the backside by his best friend Ren – for him to admit the truth.

The ending is beyond gorgeous! I just adored everything about it and I am so glad that the wait was worth it.

Now I need the spin-off series STAT because we get a new bear introduced in this one which I’m absolutely intrigued by and also because West/Sawyer is also going to be a doozy I can just tell!

This gorgeous fake boyfriend romance totally worked for me

52672329._SY475_Honeymoon Sweet by Allison Temple

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed book one in this series, but Honeymoon Sweet was an absolute delight which gave me a massive smile all the way through.

Allison has taken a familiar trope, the fake husband/boyfriend, and given it a cute little spin with two characters who are perfectly suited for each other in every way.

We met Doug in book one, he’s the Out and About Queer Festival Programme Director, and when we pick up with him, he’s setting off alone on his Honeymoon cruise after his fiance failed to show and sent a text instead.

Tripp is an absolute darling, Doug bumps into him literally naked and locked outside his cabin after a row with his workaholic boyfriend. There’s an attraction but Doug’s a mess and Tripp’s with someone but things develop both quickly and organically and the two find themselves in a fake marriage and on their honeymoon.

What follows is joyous, as they fall in love over snorkelling, white water rafting and shared breakfasts.

There wasn’t a bit of this book that didn’t work for me, from the realistic way the conflict point arose and the conclusion to it. The Epilogue is as sweet as the title.

I hope there’s more to come in this series.
