READ MY REVIEW

PrinceofLies-f

Blurb

Rowe Prince is a lying liar who windmills into my life in full color, claiming to be Sterling Chase, a quirky, eccentric billionaire… and founder of the company I created.

Two can play at the lying game, though, and I’m not about to let some burrito-delivering, floppy-haired virgin from Indiana best me at a game I was born to play.

So I do him one better and pretend to be Sterling Chase’s new assistant. I’ll teach him a lesson that will hopefully wind us both up in bed… with nothing but the truth between us.

But it turns out his shameless lies are enchanting… unintentionally hilarious… and make it all too easy to forget the truth…

Until I learn that this cutie’s intent is to defraud the company I’ve spent years building. I have to choose: risk the company or say goodbye to the man I’m falling for. A guy who just might be…

The Prince of Lies.

About The Author

lucy logo

After enjoying creative writing as a child, Lucy didn’t write her first novel until she was over 40 years old. Her debut novel, Borrowing Blue, was published in the autumn of 2016.

Lucy has an English Literature degree from Vanderbilt University, but that doesn’t hold a candle to the years and years of staying up all night reading tantalizing novels on her own.

She has three children, plays tennis, and hates folding laundry. While her husband is no shmoopy romance hero, he is very good at math, cooks a mean lasagne, has gorgeous eyes, looks hot in his business clothes, and makes her laugh every single day.

Lucy hopes you enjoy sexy heroes as much as she does. Happy reading!

Prince of Lies Live 1

A beautiful end to this excellent shifter series

59558722._SY475_Strawberry Moon by Sam Burns & W.M. Fawkes

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

That was a perfect way to round out this quite excellent shifter series from Sam and Waverly.

I’ve been wanting Ford to get his happy ending from book one and it was poetic that it was the grandson of the man whose company had been responsible for causing The Condition and killing off the omega werewolves, including Ford’s wife Lily, who restored his hope and his heart.

Archer was such a sweet soul, wrapped up in a package of determination to right the wrongs his grandfather had caused.

As a made wolf, being bitten to save his life after his grandfather shot him (in the last book), he was a mess of conflicting emotions and my heart hurt for him.

Although it’s billed as an enemies to lovers romance, it only really skirts on the periphery of that imho. Ford is definitely angry with Archer because of his Sterling name and his background, but Archer never feels the same and Ford soon realises that he’s not only mistaken, but he’s doing him a disservice.

I liked how they cautiously began to work together to try and find a way to restore the health of the werewolf packs by researching an artificial pheromone to help with the lack of omega wolves and that they’d established a cautious friendship over time.

When Archer’s first heat hits him when on a pack run with Ford, we get to see the two of them move into a physical relationship which is both steaming hot, but also beautifully caring as Ford guides Archer through the emotional and confusing time.

There is a bit of push and pull, most from Ford, but it’s completely understandable and what I liked best about the way the authors approached this, is that he doesn’t miraculously turn from being a heartbroken and depressed alpha. It takes time for him and Archer to build up trust.

But Strawberry Moon wraps up this series beautifully and – which I very much appreciated – also gives the reader the joyous resolution of Rowan and Cliff’s relationship, which has been complicated and partly melancholy as Rowan is a beta wolf without the calming pheromones of an omega wolf.

This book ends on a beautifully happy note with the Grove pack firmly looking to the future.

#ARC kindly received from the authors in return for an honest and unbiased review.

A Quick Catch Up With Rowe & Andrei

Chatting with Rowe & Andrei from Unbreakable Bonds

by Jocelynn Drake

Hello, everyone! Thanks so much for letting me stop by and share my love of the Unbreakable Bonds series.

The first book, Shiver, was released more than five years ago, and we’ve recently decided to recover the series to reflect the changing times and tastes of readers.

Over eight novels, four short story collections, and lots of random tales, Rinda Elliott and I have taken readers on a journey of explosions, danger, angst, and love with Lucas, Snow, Rowe, and Ian.

Today, I thought we’d have some characters answer a couple of reader questions.

Rowe is the owner of Ward Security and former military with an expertise in chaos. Noah is his lover and also former military.

For Rowe – Which is better C4 or Duct Tape?

Rowe: (claps his hands together and rubs them) Is this like a tasting? Do I get to test out some samples before making a decision?

Noah: (chuckling) Is there any duct tape or C4 that you haven’t tested out?

Rowe: Probably not, but you can’t blame a guy for trying.

Noah: I guess not. Though, I think there’s some scented duct tape we haven’t gotten our hands on yet.

Rowe: That sucks. But back to the question, I like both. Each has its uses. Blowing up a building? C4.

Noah: Restraining a bad guy? Duct tape.

Rowe: Restraining a friend? Duct tape.

Noah: Distracting a bad guy? C4.

Rowe: Distracting your neighbor when you’re trying to steal his ugly political signs from his front yard? C4.

Noah: Fixing a hole? Duct tape.

Rowe: Really? I would have said lube.

Noah: (snickering) Can’t take you anywhere.

Andrei is the COO of Ward Security, former bodyguard, and former MMA fighter. Lucas is his husband and former client.

For Andrei – How much wrangling do you have to do at work?

Andrei: (chuckling to himself) Well, every job has its good days and bad days.

Rowe: You’re not off to a good start.

Lucas: I’m sure you have nothing to do with there being bad days.

Rowe: Hey! I’m an excellent boss.

Lucas: And an excellent source of chaos and destruction.

Andrei: So, as you might have guessed, part of my job is a mediator between the swirling bouts of insanity. I’ve taken over a lot of the day-to-day operations from Rowe, such as hiring, organizing training, and managing a lot of the overall scheduling with Noah. Rowe is supposed to be focused on big-picture planning like navigating the overall direction of the company.

Rowe: Even though Andrei is the one with all the expansion ideas. I say he gets that from his husband, who has this need to take over the world.

Lucas: Whatever.

Rowe: You’re just short a white cat and an eyepatch, Dr. Evil.

Andrei: He is right, baby. You do want to take over the world. (Leaning in, he brushes a kiss along Lucas’s jaw.) But, generally, it’s not much different from most jobs, except the guns, fighting, explosives—

Rowe: And occasional slightly teeny tiny illegal stuff, but all in the name of protecting good people and stopping bad people.

Andrei: That’s why I’ve got the lawyers on speed dial.
