Dream subject but lacking a tiny bit of depth

Treble Maker (Perfect Harmony, #1)Treble Maker by Annabeth Albert

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Holds hand up and admits to being a Gleek and a huge fan of a capella so this was mostly a dream read for me.

It’s not a full five stars though because it just didn’t have the full depth I’ve come to expect from Annabeth Albert and at times the characters acted younger than they were supposed to be.

Still, it’s probably one of the dirtiest and sexiest outside of her Off Base series and I liked the contrast between Cody’s slightly older and more cynical character and Lucas’ religiously naive and idealistic one.

The struggles between Lucas’ wants and his fears was well done and I was glad this didn’t have an unrealistic outcome of them winning the contest against the odds.

Stunning cover too.
