Cara Dee knows how to play with the emotions and this book is on fire
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I can’t review this book.
Well, I can, but it would be one ginormous spoiler tag which would basically be me giving the equivalent of:
🥰😍🤩
🔥😛🔥
Then heading somewhere into
🙁😟
🤯🤬
💣😶
(And yes, I’m totally stealing Layla’s emoji format for that part.)
So, instead I will just say book five cannot come soon enough and it’s a good job I don’t bite my nails, because I’d be down to the knuckles.
This book has everything I’d expected, Dare and Gray are beyond fabulous, both as a pair and as dads to their rescued boys.
They’re as smexy and as connected as ever 🔥🎆🎇🔥 but also both still a wee bit vulnerable, which leads to some gorgeous emotional dialogue.
There is an overlap with The Job, but even so, I seriously was NOT expecting what goes down.
***SPOILER***
Or rather. This is a series, I expect cliffhangers, but this one is of epic proportion 😶
Honestly, I might have spent a couple of minutes trying to get my Paperwhite to turn to the next page before it dawned on me I’d reached the 100% mark!
***ENDS***
If you’ve not picked this series up yet, I highly recommend it, but be prepared for trauma, angst, steamy sex, emotional highs, and an adrenaline spiked roller coaster of a ride.
