I absolutely loved this slow burn college sports romance
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I absolutely loved this slow burn, complicated and a wee bit angsty sports romance.
The second in Christina’s Easton U series, it was a beautifully paced and completely organic frenemies to lovers’ relationship with just the right amount of UST.
I thought I might get frustrated at Maclain’s inability to deal with his feelings for Girad, but in actually, I empathised more and more.
His stepfather was an utter dick, and what made it worse was that it wasn’t deliberately done. He was just thoughtless and should have done more to live up to his promise to Mason’s mum to always take care of him.
On the other side of the pairing, Dominic’s family were awesome and I loved how they had no hesitation on accepting his bisexuality or his feelings for Mason.
The Epilogue is just so lovely I had big heart eyes when reading it 😁
I’ve no clue who might be next though if there is another book coming!
