My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This series just keeps on getting better as the tensions rack up.

Animal Weaver Baer is the focus of this one and the romance is an absolute delight as it tromps through a pretty funny meet/cute in a coffee shop – with added pestilence bad guys that is 😁

Wiley is sweetness in an attractive package of anxietiess, living with OCD and doing his very best to have a ‘normal’ life.

When he’s inadvertently drawn into Baer’s world, he thinks it’s the best thing ever, loud the comic books he illustrates for a living coming to life.

The pacing throughout this instalment was perfect, it kept throwing out increases in tension as the bad guy turned out to be a bad gal who had a nasty surprise for Baer.

I’m not spoiling anything about the plot itself, other than to say I felt Jocelynn and Rinda had it pitched just right with the scenes between Baer and Wiley interspersed with the action adventure elements.

We also get to meet a new Weaver and the overall arc moves forward some more with hints that the dangers are only going to get worse the closer the Weavers Circle is to completion.

One particular thing is revealed which leads directly into book three, which is Gray’s story and it can’t come soon enough for me!
