I’m loving this new series from Davidson King.

It always amazes me how authors come up with different plots for mystery/suspense series and how they manage to wrap everything which should make the reader go what?! and just make it work.

This one is a doozy, featuring our louche head barman Max, last seen getting yelled at for screwing everything that moves in book one of this series, and the delightfully named Sparkles, one of the club’s patrons and superb dancer.

The suspense plot involves a secret in Sparkles’ past and I liked how, as with book one, all the various members of the Joker’s Sin crew all work together to protect their found family.

No spoilers here, suffice it to say I was more than happy with the payoff that the villain ended up with, served him right for being an utter dick!
