The paranormal fourth volume of Heart2Heart is my favourite yet
Heart2Heart: Volume 4 by Various Authors
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Full review when I’m at the laptop but this is definitely my favourite of all the anthologies so far.
So, it’s not a secret that I love a good urban fantasy, fantasy and paranormal read, I am a Sci-Fi/Fantasy girl at heart, which made this particular volume of the charity anthology just perfect for me.
I read every story, all 16, and there wasn’t one I didn’t really like, although I have some very definite favourites:
A Caller From Grand Rapids by Jeff Adams and Will Knauss – the one which kicks it all off, super sweet introduction to former NHL player and possibly magic genie Noah and his office manager Marc, who takes a chance on asking out his boss.
A Caller From Windermere by Charlie Cochet – definitely one of my favourites, this was a lovely little tale about finding your own inner worth and having faith in spite of all the odds, Salem was a cutie, his alpha wolf shifter bodyguard Izzie was fierce and the family were loud and loving!
A Caller from San Francisco by Hailey Turner – what can I say, I’d read Hailey’s shopping list. This one also touches on some of my favourite mythology, the Celtic legends of Selkies, otter shifters and their beautiful fur coats. Jacob was just the right person to trust with Ethan’s pelt.
A Caller from Boston by Pandora Pine – this was just wonderful, a great meet/cute when Porter literally knocks Zion off his feet, throw in disability rep, a psychic gift and two men who were just made for each other and I really loved this one.
A Caller from Seattle by Sam Burns & W.M. Fawkes – my other fave paranormal duo, Sam and Fawkes went into vampire territory with this short but totally puling at the heart-strings romance between a 21-year-old who’d been thrown out for being gay and the vampire doctor who offers him a second chance of life.
A Caller from Montreal by SJ Himes – dragon! Yep this was a really interesting twist on dragon shifters, magic and fated mates, loved it!
As with all the other entries in this series, all net profits are going to three very worthwhile charities, find out more here:
