Explosively hot but with such a sweet centre
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Well, I loved that even more than book one in the series, there’s nothing better than watching a closed-off man break out of his grump and fall in love.
This is billed as an enemies to lovers romance and it is, to an extent, but Stone and Dare don’t ever really hate each other, there’s a fractious neighbourly squabble based on a misunderstanding and there’s plenty of lusty testosterone in play to change the game.
The sex is at first explosive, although I really caution against butter as lube 😉 but it becomes more quite gradually as Dare starts to let the light into his darkest corners and Stone realises that he really does want to spend an eternity with the grump next door.
Add in a cute dog doing his best to bring his two people together, the rest of the Four Bears Construction guys on hand to throw out their usual sarcasm and unwanted advice, and this is shaping up to be my favourite series from KM.
