A sweet romance between two opposite characters
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
This was a really sweet, fairly low angst, small town romance and I loved most of it.
However, it had my most hated poxy plot point as the big tension builder – failure to communicate.
It drives me nuts, even when it’s given a good padding of extra reasons for why it happened, as Ed does in this story.
So, it’s me not the book, I just get so frustrated when I can see the internal wrangling of feelings which would be sorted out through a simple conversation.
Having said the above, everything else in this latest Hart’s Bay entry worked. I love the found family, the small town vibes and the strong bonds of friendship.
