A bit more of a serious visit to the Bryant Park world from VL
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Righty, this one was a tad more angsty than the others in the series and involves an incident which could be a potential trigger so do be aware.
However, I couldn’t have been happier with how VL handled this whole relationship.
I adored Adrian, with his fussy ways and his extravagant clothing and out there personality. NYPD park cop Gallen was just the perfect calm and settled soul to work his magic on the events planner.
There was plenty of time given to Adrian’s need to recover from what happened and nothing was rushed or glossed over, especially considering this is a novella length book.
The serious side is nicely balanced by some humour and Brian Gilles biting wit as he helps Adrian get over his move to Brooklyn 😁
I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series, which will be Caiden’s fabulous chef and all-round housekeeper Luis.
