Perfectly plotted fake boyfriend romance from DJ
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
What a joy that was! I think this has just jumped to the top of the list for my favourite DJ Jamison reads.
It’s a common trope but here given a bit of twist with an old friend, confused feelings, a devious father and a slow burn friendship rekindled which just worked perfectly.
I loved everything about this, from prickly Julian realising that Caleb might be more than just a way to get back on his feet, to Caleb realising he probably had feelings for Julian way back when they were just a pair of young kids.
The bad guy’s never over the top, the supporting cast fits in well and provides great background, the island descriptions are gorgeous and the conclusion just made me happy.
I hope there’s going to be more as I’d love to find out about Rory and the dancers from Julian’s old club!
