Explosive final draws Halo and Viper’s love story to a close
Angel by Ella Frank & Brooke Blaine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Ella and Brooke bring the first part of their Fallen Angel trilogy to a close with an explosive final which – while it doesn’t answer all the questions – leaves Halo and Viper in a pretty sweet place and looking at a future together.
Angel has all the insane chemistry and volcanic hot sexy times readers should have come to expect with this pairing, but there’s also a whole load of vulnerability and quite a bit of heart-searching before this couple settle into a state of contented bliss.
Tensions come from external sources, Halo and Viper are all in throughout this instalment, but pressures from the music business itself, their same-sex pairing in a rock band, a new manager and Viper finally meeting Halo’s parents, all conspire to keep the narrative flowing.
I’ve really enjoyed this series, it’s a whole load of sexy fun and an easy read and I’m looking forward now to seeing how Killian manages to get new band manager Levi to break his no sex with the client rule.
In the hands of this pair, I’m sure it’s going to be another epic ride.
