Ed Davies hits the right notes again

Live Wire (Brooklyn Boys, #2)Live Wire by E. Davies

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Just like book one in this series, Live Wire promises a well-written romance and delivers it in spades.

Ed Davies always brings the right mix of sexy and sweet and adds a touch of humour and low angst to his narratives and here we get Adam’s story as he learns to step out into the wider world once he accepts he is bisexual.

We first met Adam back in the Significant Brothers series, when he basically failed to show up for work regularly at the dude ranch. He also appears in book one of this series, where the reader gets a different glimpse into the real Adam

But here is where he shines, a kind and generous heart hidden inside a gruff outer package and he was the perfect partner for Darren.

I loved both of these characters, Darren’s also not quite the image he projected in Kev and Charlie’s book. He’s been a bit bruised by life and Adam offers him a lifetime of happiness if he gets his head round the fact he deserves it.

There’s lots of really funny bits in this, especially when they’re on the cruise, but there’s lots of emotions too as the two men stumble into a real relationship from their fake dating.
