Fantastic western romance from Andrew Grey
I absolutely adored this romance from Andrew Grey which focussed on two men who needed to get out of the spotlight for a short time – one from the bull rodeos which just cost him his best friend, the other from a country music tour which had killed his creativity.
Everything about this worked for me. Both men were honest and upfront about their feelings, there wasn’t any messing around even though neither gave up who their more famous identities were until it was almost too late.
There’s trouble on the ranch which Zeke part owns with his father and the pressures from that force him back into the rodeo. For Robert, his agent and manager have to pull him out when his location is leaked and a boatload of fans and paparazzi descend on the ranch.
The drama in this book was all plot driven, nothing was put there just for the sake of it, there wasn’t any false dramady just to amp up the tensions, there’s no push/pull or will they/won’t they.
Zeke and Robert know they love each other, they’re just not sure how they can make their disparate lives mesh together. I loved them together, this book is sexy without being too much, they’re brilliant together and support each other through the difficult decisions.
There’s a great bunch of secondary characters and I loved the ranch setting. I’d happily read more of this pair!
