Racing driver Tyler gets his HEA in this latest Significant Brothers romance

Clutch (Significant Brothers, #5)Clutch by E. Davies

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was just what I needed – and what I expected from Ed Davies. It was a sweet read with very little angst, a great romance between two guys who’d never looked, or wanted, something more than a hot one night stand.

Both Tyler and Alec were well drawn characters, each unique personality perfectly complementing the other. This book’s also quite amusing at times and is liberally sprinkled with song lyric references which had me chuckling a lot.

Ed is an auto read author for me, I know what I’ll get from him but with enough variety that it never feels like I’m reading the same book twice. His Significant Brothers series has been a hit throughout and I’ve not disliked a featured couple yet.

This pair though I really loved, they were both super sweet and both, while seemingly outwardly very confident, had moments of shyness and doubt and Alec’s blushes were delightful!

They’re also incredibly sexy together and I think this book has some of Ed’s most racy scenes in it including one of my perennial favourites – wall sex!

I loved the support network outside of the Significant Brothers in this one too. Tyler’s team at the race track and their WAGs were great and central to the plot, which was also nicely paced and believable.

The epilogue’s super sweet too and now I can’t wait for Josh’s story – which I hope will be Book Six and, sadly, probably the final one in this series of the high school best friends who stuck together once they all realised they were gay or bi.
