My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars
No one does realistic British angsty romance quite like Garrett Leigh and Rented Heart is an absolute winner.
She has a way of dragging the reader through a hundred different emotions, leaving them wrung out but – for me at least – ultimately with a sense of hope that no matter how bad things might have been, love is possible.
This book captured me from the start and Liam and Zac, and even Jamie with all his addiction issues, didn’t let go of my heart. There’s such loneliness in Liam’s world, Zac is trying to work with the life he’s been given, but together they were just better.
I guessed what the big tension issue was going to be and thought there’d be a big declaration of forgiveness when Liam realised he’d got it wrong, but I definitely wasn’t expecting what happened next. It had me desperately reading to get to the end and find out if all worked out well.
I am a Garrett Leigh fangirl and this book is just one of the many reasons why and that cover?! Damn but it’s hot.
