Beautiful peek into the Memories with the Breakfast Club series

A Way with Words (Memories with The Breakfast Club )A Way with Words by Lane Hayes

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

3.5*

This is a fab short story set in New York and is part of Felice Stevens’ Memories with the Breakfast Club. Unfortunately as its Kindle Worlds, it’s only available in the US at the moment.

As I have an ARC for the second in the series from Lane, I grabbed this at the same time to catch up on the setting.

I loved Remy, he was just so chilled about his life’s path and he had the utmost confidence in Tony making his own right decisions in order to live his authentic life. He never pressured Tony, but listened and offered advice and no judgement and for that, he stole my heart.

Tony, on the other hand, he was a study in contrasts, able to talk to Remy about his life and feelings, blurting out whatever came into his head and so unwittingly charming without intent, but also panicked about what his Italian family would think if they knew he was gay.

There’s little to no drama in this, the MCs talk to each other and support each other through the sticky patches and it has a glorious epilogue.

Now, on to book two!
