My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Definitely the best one yet, the plotting has been tightened up considerably and the narrative is about more than just the sexual relationships of the characters.
Here we get a new couple, Josh’s estranged brother Aaron and Indy’s jiu jitsu trainer Blake and it’s a little bit kinky but without ever really tripping over into full on puppy play.
The best thing about this book though is the vast movement on the main story arc which has been running through the series – Indy’s vicious ex and his Boston mobster threat.
Without spoiling anything, I absolutely loved the twists and the way the situation was handled here and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens now.
The romance element of this one with Aaron and Blake actually worked surprisingly well given it wasn’t really the main focus. I liked seeing Aaron’s sexual awakening and it was handled with consideration and skill.
Now roll on book four and what is already setting up to be an intriguing poly relationship.
