Supernova explosion in the Cyberlove series

Mature Content (Cyberlove, #4)Mature Content by Megan Erickson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sweet Heaven above I’m speechless. Full review tomorrow when I’m at my laptop not bumbling around on my Kindle because this book deserves all the effort.

EDIT: Right, it’s now Saturday and I’m at the laptop so first off I have to start with an image. I’ve never put an image into one of my reviews yet but this book absolutely deserves one.

See that, that’s a supernova. What causes a supernova?

A supernova happens where there is a change in the core, or center, of a star. A change can occur in two different ways, with both resulting in a supernova.

The first type of supernova happens in binary star systems. Binary stars are two stars that orbit the same point. One of the stars, a carbon-oxygen white dwarf, steals matter from its companion star. Eventually, the white dwarf accumulates too much matter. Having too much matter causes the star to explode, resulting in a supernova.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what happens in this book. Two stars come together, they collide and they explode. Oh boy do they explode.

Beau Starr, who we met in Hard Wired, about his cousin Jessie Garvy’s romance with fellow Twitch mod Ian, (aka Cerise), is an Internet sensation. He’s wholesome, inspirational, clean cut, all above board and hiding a secret not only about what he likes to do in the bedroom but also about his life before YouTube.

But Zane Brody, he doesn’t care a bit, TrashyZane has no qualms at all about letting his YouTube audience know he likes it deep and dirty.
Zane: This power bottom has zero shame about how much I love being manhandled. How much I love having all this hair pulled. How I have zero qualms about being fucked in public with nothing to quiet me but fingers in my mouth while a dick slides in and out of my ass. About how I prefer being fucked at home where I can lose my mind at max volume while someone ties me up and edges me.

And they hate each other. This is not just frenemies, this is full on enemies to lovers handled with consummate skill.

Beau hates Zane’s hair. “His hair smelled like grapefruit. I used to eat grapefruit for breakfast with a bit of sugar sprinkled on top, but now grapefruit were dead to me. I planned to spit on the next grapefruit I saw with vigor.”

Zane thinks Beau’s a jerk“I always knew you were a phony. And now I know you’re a hypocrite and a liar too. All because you’re too busy repressing your own sexuality just to keep up a front.”

But they’re inexplicably drawn to each other and gradually the relationship shifts. This book is the hottest and dirtiest (in the absolute best possible way) of the four Cyberlove romances and it came this >< close to taking over from Fast Connection as my absolute favourite.

There’s lots of work goes into making their relationship organic, there’s some serious hurting and a public groveling which is a joy to read.

If you’ve never read this series don’t start with this one, go back and get Strong Signal and discover why there is something truly delicious about online relationships, gaming and the communities which build up around them.

Oh and the cover – yeah I’m drooling (a lot).
