Throughout this one I was suffering along with Yoram until Salvatore finally got his act in gear and accepted his fate was to be with his shifter mate.
It didn’t seem to go on as long as in previous books and there was the same generally low level angst to keep the pace of the plot ticking along nicely.
The first time they came together was seriously hot, virgin sex in combination with a shifter’s overwhelming need to claim, meant for a truly mesmerising encounter.
I liked Sal. I know some reviewers haven’t been as keen but he worked just fine for me as a repressed escapee from poverty who’d learnt to trust only himself.
I loved how, once he’d had the hotel room chat with the gang, he just threw himself into everything. That is, surely, all we’d ever wish for in a partner 🙂
